Live at Lost Pines

Music is as much a part of Texas – past and present – as bluebonnets, starry skies and pecan pie. In fact, many of the finest songwriters in music history have come from Texas.

Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa, nestled along the Colorado River between historic Bastrop and Austin, Texas (the "Live Music Capital of the World"), incorporates the inspiration of Texas and Americana sounds – from blues and swing to jazz and traditional country – in all aspects of the resort.

We honor the tradition of Texas music with photographs and written histories throughout the property, and in the resort's public areas you'll learn about icons and emerging artists alike. Tex Ritter, Bob Wills, George Jones, Ray Price, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Muddy Waters, Ray Benson, Pat Green, Steven Fromholz, Doug Sahm, Nancy Griffith, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Marcia Ball, Guy Clark, Billie Joe Shaver, Cindy Walker, Tish Hinojosa – and that just scratches the surface.

Several of our suites are named after Texas musical genres and moments, including Small Towns-Big Sounds, Tejano Traditions, Lone Star Outlaws, Dance Halls & Last Calls and Texas Rock ‘n’ Roll. Each suite features photos and other memorabilia from those periods.
