Welcome to historic downtown Bastrop, the home of  Baxter’s on Main since 2003.  We pride ourselves in providing the absolute finest cuisine in Central Texas.  Y'all come down and taste for yourself!
Like Bastrop and Texas itself, this structure is steeped in central Texas history. It is believed the original use for this building was a grocery and dry goods store owned by Loiuz Eilers in 1890. Later it was a meat slaughter, packing and sales market, with a barbecue restaurant added on. So we haven’t ventured too far from its roots.
